I Have just returned from a week’s sailing around the Greek Islands (very nice ). 8-)

Although the sailing takes a chunk of the day there was time for a Mythos or two ( local beer) and a sit down with a book. I have to say that for all of us who are interested in adventure involving aircraft, the following book was a dam good read.

When i had my RV-7 70% completed i remember following Manuel Queiroz on his trip around the world in his RV-6. this was very inspirational and Manuel even responded to my e-mail during this epic adventure.
I did see him at Sywell recently but like an idiot I didn’t go over for a chat :-[
The book has plenty of great photos of his adventure. Its only £20 including post and packing from LAA.

I went to a talk by him, it was great and I will be getting a copy of his book.

I looked on amazon. It said available Sept 2011 $23 for pre-order. Then went to Amazon.co.uk and it said
14 pounds inc postage. So it may depend how much you're keen on 'supporting' the LAA.

I'll try to get hold of it by whatever means.

In a similar vein, Jon Johansson's book "Aiming High" is worth a read.
