Title: Oil Cooler Fitting
Post by Rob Dobney on 27.11.2012 at 08:06:15

Morning

We seem to be having a problem fitting the oil cooler to our '8 baffle. It appears there is not enough room for the cooler to actually fit! Are we missing something?!

Any help gratefully received!

How do you mean Rob ? The oil cooler can be a close fit to the engine mount and can be difficult to install some I have seen have made a groove out of the oil cooler side to clear the engine mount.

You need to trim the top corner, but the position is fixed on the current baffle kits. This area is the most prone to fatigue cracks, so it pays to avoid nicks and rough edges. This may help:

On my 7 there is an angle brace to help support the cooler weight.

You can also see cutout on cooler.
