Isle of Man TT road races.

First overnight was in the isle of Man last weekend for the TT.  Cool

What a fantastic weekend;  the trip over  took just under an hour from Sherburn to Andreas. Cruising at a steady 140kts / 151 ground speed. Andreas had around 45 visiting aircraft which included 4 Vans aircraft one RV-3 two RV-6 and of course G-IVII our RV-7. IOM  Defiantly on the calendar for next year.
I was supprised how much stuff i got in and still remained 35 lbs under baggage weight.

£34 for landing and camping ( Andreas has toilet shower Kitchen facilities)

Hi Simon

Flew through Leeds Airspace at 2000ft on QNH
Cleared Leeds and Climbed to 4,500
Crossed the Irish Sea at 6,000. Decended after Halfway point to remain VFR at 2500.

There was a restriction with airspace around the IOM with the TT races, however Ronaldsway cleared me VFR over head Douglas and just asked
me to follow the coast up to Ramsey. We Scooted arround Ramsey and joined downwind for 06.

A short time later i was on Final approach for the Swan Pub  Cheesy

Have you started your RV yet ?  I have a pair of RV-8 wings on the go in my workshop !

I flew through Leeds airspace this week......

180kts on the missed approach, slightly fast at DA, cleared direct to Eccup, so I complied with instructions  Roll Eyes

Apparently, they said the RV looked - Very Nice  Cool

7 Flying !, 8 in both workshops. Next one will be quicker, simpler, better. But they all say that, don't they ?

hi mark
too slowly for my liking, my main spar turned up the other day from vans so i can repair that when i can understand how to replace it without completely disassembling the wing. i have got your hat here so i will pop it over sometime this week when you are in.
cheers
steve
