Hi all, I've just joined the forum with the goal of becoming an RV owner having fallen in love with the RV7. I have 350+ hours on helicopters and have just started my fixed wing PPL training. So I have a few questions! I've talked with several FW pilots about my plans for an RV and several have said I shouldn't consider one 'as my first aircraft'. Too small, fast and sensitive. Would you agree with this theory? I flew in one with the owner last week and, bearing in mind at this point I have virtually no FW experience, I did a lot of the flying and found it fun, a challenge but not overwhelming. I loved it! And my other question, for now........., is related to importing from the US. I'm quite particular in what I am looking for (RV7 (not A), sliding canopy, CS prop, 180+hp, well built) and there seem to be very few RV's in the UK for sale but more in the US. Have many other UK owners imported complete, flying RV's from the US? What are the pitfalls, legalities etc? Thank you for reading! Mona
