External Power Connection RV9A (or other)
25.04.2013 at 12:26:42

As someone with an RV9A who has had a flat battery AND at a distant airfield AND unable to start AND who went back with a set of jumpleads and two charged up batteries AND who couldn't connect the jump leads to the battery terminals (due to the tight fitting and size of the jump lead crocodile clips AND who subsequently had to remove the top cowling AND who lacerated his hands on the exposed piano hinges AND whose RV9A still refused to start (but that's another story  embarrassed ) AND in the freezing cold, then you'll perhaps understand when I ask the question:-

Has anyone here has fitted an LAA approved external power plug to their RV9A (or any other RV type)

If so - How? What type?  A Standard 3 pin NATO plug or the Piper single pin type or another solution? Any of which will enable a quick, easy and safe connection, as and when required?

I thank you
