HMRC and Shipping
08.03.2017 at 21:18:35

Hi,

New here and just doing a spot of research before ordering a kit, I am looking into the shipping and import Tax etc and notice that the details on this forum are from 2011/12 and I guess the HMRC would have changed them since then so wondered if anyone knows the process or who in HMRC I can ask to get the latest info.

As I can't comit to a full kit in one go I plan to purchase in parts and I know this will increase the overall shipping costs but it's either that or wait a few more years before I start and this way I can get it past the Domestic Manager a little easier and we all want an easier life.

Thanks

Cliff.

I ordered part of my kit 6 months ago.

Procedure seems to have stayed the same.

Just make sure you get your end user number to clear through customs.

Regards
Cos

Did you make any progress with this? I tried and had my application rejected due to being a "private individual". I spent hours on the phone to HMRC trying to find a human being to talk to who could help me but without any success. Does anyone out there have a useful contact who can help?

Many thanks.
