Emp fairing seal ?
02.09.2009 at 16:29:34

Hi
Has any one had much success with the rubber seal that fits between the lower side of the horizontal stabilizer and the fuselage? undecided

I have fitted the emp fairing which was no big deal and in actual fact fits pretty well.
I also fitted aluminium fairing strips underneath the HS, however the rubber strip which is optional is trimmed to fit is awful ? The only way i can see to make it stay where ist supposed to be would be to bond it to the aluminium fairing strips once they are painted. I’m thinking of using a bead of sikaflex instead ?

The ideal solution is a heatshrink u-channel section sold by RS Components - if you need the part no. etc. then pm me.

It is exactly right, it is also good for finishing the edge of the turtle deck at the back of the cockpit.
