Empennage options

I would like to put a auto pilot on my RV8 in the end. Should I take the electric trim option for this. If this has no effect has anybody got advice on electric verses manual trim

cheers Robert

The electric trim on the 7 is easy, lighter, more expensive but I think all together better.

It can be incorporated into the stick top, no long vernier drives with aded weight etc.

All same on 8

Would highly recommend.

Ordered my 8 with electric trim.

7 Flying !, 8 in both workshops. Next one will be quicker, simpler, better. But they all say that, don't they ?

Electric trim and autopilot are completely separate on an RV, although some pitch servos (ie TruTrak) will tell you when you are out of trim.
