Panel labels

Can anyone please recommend a supplier of custom labels for my instrument panel?
I'm looking for black type on clear self-adhesive background.
Many thanks, Steve Hiscox

We use a Dymo Rhino for labels and also labelling heat shrink tubing.  It can do black on white, black on clear, white on black, white on clear depending on tape.  The heat shrink printing is fab for wiring.

For our panel, we made an early decision on labels and switches, my wife did the labels on her Mac and we then got them screenprinted on - cost about £40 but was well worth it.

I drew my labels in Autocad and took a PDF file to our local vehicle vinyl printing shop (Fastsigns in Bath). Doing them in Word would work just as well, but I had an Autocad drawing of my panel.

I made the mistake of getting my panel painted black and my local Vinyl shop can't print white so I had to get the black background printed on white vinyl & stick those on the panel.  It looks OK, but if I were to do it again I'd paint the panel grey...

Thank you very much for those helpful comments. After much thought we finally decided to have the labels engraved on thin satin aluminium strip. The engraved letters will then be "flooded" in black. So fingers crossed!
Regards,
Steve
