Hi all
Has anyone used the Vans supplied wiring loom for a rear mounted battery installation? If so is it any good? We're planning on Dynon EFIS as well as the usual other electrics so not sure if it's suitable.
Cheers

Rob,
Not used the rear battery loom. But did buy wiring kit - and used as my design - as cable/wire was cheaper this route. Especially if included with other parts shipment.

Got the Vans harness, disassembled it and did our own thing. Too many discrepancies between 6 & 7 on print.
Read the Electric Connection and crack on yourself, it isn't too bad.

Me too... I bought the kit it makes for a good basic loom. You have to remember that every electrical Installation varies for each builder’s needs/ requirements.
It’s easy to modify/ add on for your own application. It also comes with the main Engine cables assembled
I have a DVD for basic electrical installation on kit aircraft... It’s very basic (as American instructional videos are) but has some good tips and information for a beginner.
If you want to have a look at it , send me you address via the forum messages and I will mail it over to you.
Regards
Mark

Thnaks for the replies chaps; I'm a little way off sorting out the 'business end' but was thinking of getting the wiring in so I can finish off the floors, etc.
Thanks for the offer Mark; I may well take you up on that in the new year!
