RV6 RV7 RV9 Centre console - Mod?

Hi All,
 
I am thinking of putting in a centre console kit in my 6 - currently fitting canopy etc.
 
Has anyone fitted one of these and would I need a new mod?
 
It seems a nicer place to stick a throttle quadrant and Andair fuel valve. The liitle armrest compartment is also the right size for the AF flight guide.
